Terms and conditions
You are welcome to use the designs here for your own tattoo and to reuse the published prompts. These terms explain what else is and is not allowed, and the limits of what this site can promise.

Agreeing to these terms
By using gothictattooideas.com or any of its language versions (“the site”), you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. “We” and “us” mean the independent publisher of Gothic Tattoo Ideas. These terms are published in English, and the English version applies to every language version of the site.
What the site is
The site is a free reference about gothic tattoo designs and motifs. It offers a gallery of AI concept designs, articles about motifs, history, styles, placement, cost and aftercare, and a Gothic lettering generator. Everything is provided for general information and inspiration. It is not professional, medical or legal advice.
About the AI concept designs
Every design in the gallery was generated with ChatGPT’s image generation and then reviewed, as described on our about page. Please keep in mind:
- Designs are concepts, not stencils. AI images can contain flaws, such as muddy detail, lines too fine to last or odd anatomy, even after review.
- Designs shown on skin are not real tattoos. They are generated images that suggest how a design might look in a placement. They do not show real people.
- No guarantee of uniqueness. Designs come from prompts that anyone can reuse, and AI models can produce similar images for similar prompts. We do not promise that a design is unique or that nobody else has a tattoo like it.
- No guarantee of suitability for skin. A design that looks good on screen may be too detailed, too small or wrongly shaped for the body.
- A professional tattoo artist must redraw any design before it is tattooed, to fit it to your body, size and skin. You are responsible for the final design you choose to have tattooed.
How you may use the designs and prompts
You may:
- save designs for personal use and show them to a tattoo artist,
- have a design, or a version of it, tattooed on yourself,
- ask an artist to adapt, combine or redraw designs,
- copy and reuse the published prompts to generate your own images,
- share a link to any page, or share a single design for personal, non-commercial purposes with a link back to the page it came from.
You may not:
- sell the designs as they are, for example as prints, stickers, stencils, flash sheets, merchandise or digital downloads,
- republish the gallery, or large parts of it, on another website or app,
- download the site’s content in bulk with scrapers or automated tools, or use it to build a competing collection,
- claim that you or anyone else drew a design that came from this site,
- use the designs or text in a way that is unlawful or that promotes hatred.
When you share a design or quote our text publicly, please credit Gothic Tattoo Ideas with a link to the source page.
The legal status of AI-generated images varies between countries. To the extent that we hold any rights in the designs, the prompts, the text and the selection and arrangement of the gallery, you may use them only as these terms allow. If you want to use something in a way not covered here, contact us first.
The written content
The articles, motif guides, translations, page design and code of the site are our work and are protected by copyright. You may quote short passages with a link to the source page. Please do not copy whole articles or translations.
Health and safety
Getting a tattoo carries real risks, including infection, allergic reactions to ink, scarring and poor healing. Information on this site about pain, cost and aftercare is general and may not apply to you. Nothing here is medical advice.
- Always choose a licensed, reputable tattoo artist and studio.
- Follow your artist’s aftercare instructions over anything you read online.
- Talk to a doctor before getting tattooed if you have a skin condition, an allergy, a blood disorder, a weakened immune system, are pregnant, or take medicines that affect healing.
- See a doctor promptly if a tattoo shows signs of infection.
We are not responsible for any tattoo you get, or for its results, based on information or designs from this site.
Accuracy of history, meanings and lettering
We research the history and meanings of gothic motifs carefully and say clearly when a meaning is a modern reading. Even so, scholarship changes and mistakes can happen, so we cannot guarantee that everything is complete or error-free.
The Gothic lettering generator shows how text looks in a blackletter style. Check spelling, dates and any phrase in another language yourself, or with a qualified translator, before anything is tattooed.
Advertising
The site is free to use and is supported by ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are chosen and delivered by Google and its partners, not by us, and they are marked as ads. An ad on the site is not a recommendation: we do not endorse the products, services or tattoo studios advertised, and any purchase you make from an advertiser is between you and that advertiser. How advertising cookies work, and how to turn off personalized ads, is explained in our privacy policy.
Please do not click ads on purpose to generate revenue for the site, and do not ask others to. Invalid clicks break Google’s rules and do not help us.
Links to other sites
We link to other websites, such as museums and reference sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
Acceptable use
When using the site, please do not:
- try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or its hosting,
- use automated tools that place an unreasonable load on the site,
- use the site to break any law.
Normal search engine crawling that respects our robots.txt file is welcome.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do our best to keep it accurate and online, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or suitable for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, its designs or its information, including any tattoo you decide to get. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if the law of your country gives you consumer rights that these terms cannot remove, those rights still apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add new features. The “Updated” date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
